This month's question and answer as printed in the Lynchburg News and Advance. The response is written by G. Benton Livesay, Jr., Ph.D. Question: When is the best time to send a follow up letter after an interview?
Answer: Following up could mean the difference between getting a job or not. When you follow up is just as crucial. If you send your letter to arrive the day after an interview, it conveys that you really care about the job and are not a procrastinator. If you wait a week or more, you are saying that either you don’t care that much or you are just slow. This is your opportunity to further impress the employer – don’t let it pass.
